UNIVERSITY-COMMUNITY ORCHESTRA at the UNIVERSITY of MARY WASHINGTON!
Some know it as the UMW Philharmonic, yet others call the essemble UMW-CSO. In any case, the orchestra masterfully interprets and performs free concerts throughout the year in the Fredericksburg area (and even "across the pond" and beyond!) for willing, appreciative ears, minds, and spirits.
We are privileged to experience the October Masterworks; the popular Holiday POPS; March Musical Mix; the Independence Day Spectacular; and, the April Celebrity Series, which beckons world-class artists to collaborate with the orchestra.
"In its 40th year, the University-Community orchestra at the University of Mary Washington is one of the most successful organizations on campus, boasting approximately 90 members from the student body and the community. The orchestra is highly respected for its musicianship and its mission to support students and the Fredericksburg community."
